Your pond can be blue and weed-free
Whether your pond is used for irrigation or pleasure, aquatic weeds are detrimental to a healthy and beautiful pond. Excessive weeds can interfere with fishing, boating, swimming and irrigation.
Weed control in ponds can be tricky. Watershed safety means treatment options can be limited. However, there are products available that help control weeds in ponds. Early identification and treatment of a problem will provide the best results. Once the problem has been identified, consult your Southern States dealer to determine the best treatment.
Aqua shade is a diluted Aquashade formulation
in 2ounce packaging for ornamental applications in garden ponds,
fountains, and aquariums. Provides algae control at a drop per
gallon or 1 ounce per 1,000 gallons. 11110449
Aquashade,
1 gal or 2.5 gal an aquatic dye registered by EPA, controls
weeds by blocking the sunlight. Aquashade creates a beautiful
aqua-blue coloration to water without clouding or significantly
reducing visibility. It is easy to apply and is effective for use in
sites ranging from backyard garden pools to large ponds. Application
of Aquashade does not restrict livestock watering or swimming

Cutrine® Plus is an algaecide that controls
existing algae and inhibits rapid reinfestation. It is registered
for use in farm fish ponds, drinking water reservoirs and many other
uses. There are no restrictions for domestic uses, livestock
watering or swimming following application of Cutrine-Plus.

WeedPlex Pro is a non-selective herbicide for both aquatic and turf weeds. Effective in controlling duckweed, water hyacinth, pondweed and other aquatic weeds, WeedPlex Pro can be blended with other herbicides for many uses. Kills surface and submerged weeds that are copper resistant. Effective in controlling hard to kill weeds like duckweed and watermeal. See Label for Restrictions. Consists of 37.3% diquat dibromide 2-8 quarts per surface acre depending on infestation & type of weed for aquatics. 1 quart makes 100 gallons of spray for landscape use.
Crystal Plex is a liquid copper sulfate solution designed to attack and destroy algae and some aquatic plants including Hydrilla. Eliminates algae for a beautiful and safe pond all year long.

Shore-Klear™
Liquid systemic herbicide containing glyphosate as its active
ingredient. Can be used to control emergent vegetation and works
best with a non-ionic surfactant. This systemic herbicide will kill
both the plant and the root, but should be used in the fall for best
results on cattails and water lilies.
